Online Quran classes in Sweden

One-to-one live Quran classes for Swedish families — Noorani Qaida, Tajweed, Hifz, Tafseer, Islamic studies and Arabic, taught by certified male and female teachers in CET in winter, CEST in summer (UTC+1 / UTC+2).

Prayer times in Sweden swing enormously between December and June, and a fixed madrasah slot rarely survives that. We reschedule with the seasons, so classes stay in the part of the day that actually works for your family.

The foundation course. Students learn the Arabic alphabet, letter shapes, joining, vowels and basic pronunciation rules before opening the Mushaf.

Quran Reading (Nazra)

Beginner · 6–12 months

Read the Quran fluently from the Mushaf with correct articulation, guided page by page by your own teacher at your own pace.

Tajweed Mastery

Intermediate · 6–9 months

Learn the rules that beautify recitation — noon sakinah, meem sakinah, madd, qalqalah, ghunnah — with live correction on every verse.

Hifz — Quran Memorisation

All levels · Flexible — 2 to 4 years

A structured memorisation plan with daily sabaq, sabqi and manzil revision, plus monthly tests so nothing that is memorised is ever lost.

Translation and Tafseer

Intermediate · 9–12 months

Understand what you recite. Word-by-word translation plus classical tafseer covering the meanings, context and lessons of each surah.

Islamic Studies

All levels · Ongoing

Core deen knowledge: aqeedah, the pillars of Islam, seerah of the Prophet ﷺ, hadith, everyday fiqh and Islamic manners.

Salah and Daily Duas

Beginner · 2–3 months

A short, practical course covering wudu, the full prayer step by step, and the masnoon duas for every part of the day.

Arabic Language

All levels · 6–12 months

Classical and conversational Arabic — nahw, sarf and vocabulary — taught so you can read the Quran and hadith in the original.

Ijazah and Qirat

Advanced · 1–2 years

Recite the full Quran to an ijazah-holding sheikh and earn a certificate with a connected sanad, in Hafs or the ten qiraat.

Questions from Swedish families

  • Our prayer times change hugely through the year. Is that a problem?

No. We reschedule seasonally at no charge — many Swedish families move their class earlier in summer when Isha is very late, and keep a late-afternoon slot in the dark winter months.

  • Do you teach children who only speak Swedish and English?

Yes. Teaching is in English and starts from the Arabic letters, so no Arabic or Somali background is needed. Parents are welcome to sit in on early classes.

  • How do we pay from Sweden?

By card or international bank transfer, with Swish available on request. Fees are quoted in USD and converted at the day rate.
