Available resolutions depend entirely on what the original uploader published; a video only uploaded in 480p won't produce a 1080p file no matter what option you pick, and very new or heavily viewed videos occasionally throttle extraction speed on YouTube's end rather than ours. Age-restricted, private, and region-locked videos can't be processed since the tool only has the same access a logged-out browser would.
The MP3 option re-encodes just the audio track at a selectable bitrate, which is the faster path when you want a podcast, a lecture, or a song to listen to offline rather than the video itself.
